Professional Beauty London drew 22,378 visitors.

Exhibitors focused on regenerative skincare and exosomes, LED devices and AI skin diagnostics, and there was a new Active Ageing stage.

I’ve just looked at what dominated the biggest beauty trade show of the autumn. Here’s what it means if you’re newly qualified.

Professional Beauty London ran on 4 and 5 October at ExCeL. The themes on the show floor were clear:

  • Regenerative skincare and exosomes

  • LED devices

  • AI powered skin diagnostics

  • A brand new stage dedicated to active ageing

Here’s my honest take after 27 years in this industry. Every one of those trends depends on something you’re learning right now: real skin knowledge. A device or a scanner doesn’t replace your consultation. It only works as well as the therapist reading the results.

So if you’re just starting out:

✅ Get your skin science and consultation skills rock solid before you spend on kit.
✅ Before you offer any new device, check your training, your insurance and the manufacturer’s requirements.
✅ Start learning how to talk to more mature clients with confidence. The industry is clearly paying attention to them.
✅ Go to a trade show. The next ones are Professional Beauty Spring at Olympia London on 28 February and 1 March 2027, then Professional Beauty London on 10 and 11 October 2027.

Trends come and go. Strong foundations keep you booked through all of them.
